Sport Dog Foundations

WEDNESDAY’S 6:00PM

This will be an introductory class offered for four weeks.

It is for all dogs whether you compete in conformation, obedience, rally or agility!

Great for building confidence and conditioning. Additionally, dogs will learn to go over, around, through different obstacles, rear end awareness, recall games and crate/mat games.

Agility III: CONTACTS & HANDLING SKILLS

Monday 6:00pm

In this class, handlers will have completed Agility II or will have the consent of the instructor.

Teams will be concentrating on the foundations of the contacts in agility. This includes, the Teeter, A Frame, Dog Walk, and Table. The entire 6 weeks will encompass the foundations of each of these pieces of equipment.

AGILITY I: OBSTACLE INTRODUCTION

Thursdays 6:00pm

In this class, handlers and dogs will have completed sports foundations or will have the consent of the instructor.

Teams will be starting with the basics in building a positive conditioned emotional response (CER) to the ring, impulse control, start line behaviors, obstacle and handler focus, the power of “Follow Me” and the basics of tugging.

AGILITY II: HANDLING SKILLS

Monday 7:15pm

In this class, handlers will have completed Agility I or will have the consent of the instructor.

Teams will be concentrating on building the skills sets from Agility I. These skill sets include Start Line Stays, One Jump exercises, Come to Heel Games, Jump Skills, Verbals, and Tunnels and Weaves

COULEE AGILITY KIDS

Thursday 7:15pm

Teams will be concentrating on specific handling on course. This includes front, rear and blind crosses as well as how to incorporate handling on short sequences. These sequences will begin with jumps and tunnels and will slowly add in weaves and contacts.

Agility IV: COMPETITION-SEQUENCING

Monday 5:00pm

In this class, handlers will have completed Agility Handling or will have the consent of the instructor.

Teams will be at a more advanced level and will have been sequencing on course. Students at this level are at the beginning stages of competition and are about ready to enter trials or are at the novice level of trial entry. This class will consist of more in-depth handling on course.
